FWP Women

FOR WOMEN OF ALL AGES, CREEDS & BACKGROUNDS

We are fearless.  We are warriors.  We are princesses.  Fearless Warrior Princess Women’s Ministry is founded on the scriptures II Timothy 1:7, Psalm 144:1, and Galatians 4:7.  We believe that the Lord is raising up a company of women that are captivated by His voice.  In a time where so many things are demanding our attention, we are determined to hear and obey His voice! We have a passion to join with and love our sisters and run together with the Good News of Jesus. Led by Pastor Miriam Phillips, Fearless Warrior Princess Women’s Ministry is a voice in the Eastern region of North Carolina and around the world.

PASTOR MIRIAM’S BLOG

FEBRUARY/MARCH 2018 BLOG

It doesn’t take little girls very much time at all to realize that our society screams that beauty is an attribute that we must pursue at all costs. One look at any social media feed and you will find countless selfies-most taken by females. Before we realize it, we can find ourselves instinctively running to the places where we get the most compliments to shore up our sometimes fragile self esteem.

Compliments can be addictive, and our day can be totally affected by who said what, and who didn’t say anything.

In my younger years, I found that guy friendships proved to be easier than the ones I had with my girlfriends.  Guys were wholeheartedly complimentary and uncomplicated by the jealousies and comparisons that the girls struggled with.

As sad as it is, as an adult I could gauge whether or not I was doing well by the SILENCE of some of my peers. I myself withheld encouragement and appreciation at times because of ugly jealousies and insecurities.

It’s taken me a long time to work through these issues enough to where I can confidently offer wisdom to those that seek it.

This verse from Galatians 6:4, 5 AMP has centered and guided me through the years: “Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else. For we are each responsible for our own conduct.”

The beautiful friend that seems to have it all only has what she’s been given by God. I have what I’ve been given, and so do you. We are responsible for cultivating and developing those things, but we are NOT responsible for what we’ve not been given. Relax and realize that if you weren’t given a beautiful singing voice like someone you know, you also don’t have the responsibility to practice for hours and hours.

I was blessed with a gift to play the piano. During my college years, I spent many, many hours in the practice rooms while my peers were free to explore other things.

Don’t be so quick to desire someone else’s “back yard.” There is plenty in your own to explore and enjoy!

And … I’m happy to say that I’ve grown and matured in expressing sincere appreciation and recognition of people’s gifts and accomplishments.  When we take the time to notice things beyond the superficial, and then voice them honestly and without empty flattery, we open ourselves up to being a voice that our wonderful, loving God can speak through. What a privilege!  Let’s be each other’s most vocal cheerleaders! And may we allow God to grow and develop us into the best possible version of ourselves. 2018 is our year!!!
