Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully. -- Romans 12:4-8

Current Ministry Opportunities

Worship Team

Worship is a vital element to our corporate life in the Lord. As we bless Him through the ministry of music, He inhabits our praises and we enter into His presence to receive refreshing, empowerment, and fellowship with God, our Father Almighty.

Opportunities to Serve:

  • Leading worship in a small group or Bible study.
  • Providing special music for Sunday offertory times.
  • Participating on a worship team.
  • Helping with the sound board or projection.

To serve in one of these ways, e-mail the Worship Leaders at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Children's Ministry

We at ROL are committed to Jesus' Lordship, and then to each family He brings our way. Whether the privilege of serving these families through their children is for one week or for many years, our commitments stand firm, and by God's grace we are privileged to be vessels of His life. Our goal in Children's Ministry is to partner with parents as they "train up their children in the way they should go..." (Proverbs 22:6). We know God's Word to be "a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path" (Psalm 119:105), thus, with the help of the Holy Spirit, we seek to learn it, live it, model it, and teach it; passing it, with much joy, to the next generation.

Opportunities to Serve:

  • Pray! Firm foundations of prayer are vital to every part of this ministry. The goal is to have continuing prayer support for each Servant Ministry Team, each department of children, and every family represented in Children's Ministry at ROL.
  • Help! In the large and growing family of God there is always a need for willing hands with yielded hearts to serve in a variety of ways.

Youth Ministry

The primary strength of River of Life's Youth Ministry is that it is a "come-alongside" ministry that emphasizes servanthood and discipleship. It comes alongside of parents to complement, support, and reinforce them in their parental role. We are committed to never usurp or undermine that primary role. Parents are welcome and encouraged to be involved in all aspects of the youth ministry—it is a partnership between church and home. Our youth ministry is characterized by serious Bible study and purposeful servanthood. Yes, they also have fun and enjoy being together. But fun and entertainment are far from being the main goal or purpose. If you're looking for a family-friendly youth ministry where growth in Christ is the goal, then the River of Life youth group may be the place for you.

Opportunities to Serve:

  • Be a faithful prayer intercessor.
  • Offer to chaperone various events.
  • Be a special guest at a youth meeting.
  • Help organize and plan service projects.

  • Be a member of the youth ministry leadership team.
  • Be available to help out on a special occasion or as needed basis.

Outreach Ministry

All Christians are commanded by the Lord Jesus to be involved in "the Great Commission": As you are going through life, make disciples of all peoples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything Jesus taught (Matthew 28:18-20). Through lifestyle evangelism and periodic focused outreach, we seek to do our part as a local church to add to the multitude around the throne (Revelation 5:13).

Opportunities to Serve:

  • Helping to organize outreach / servant evangelism events.
  • Participating in events.
